We believe that data, just like core software applications, must be designed, managed, and delivered as a high-quality product to its consumers. We are seeking a visionary Data Architect to be the foundational leader of this belief.
You'll define the architectural patterns that transform raw data into trustworthy, discoverable, and genuinely valuable data products that drive measurable business outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
Design the foundational conceptual and logical data models for domain-specific data products
Ensure data is structured for optimal external consumption and interoperability
Define the technical interfaces (APIs, topics, databases) and architectural patterns by which data products will be exposed, consumed, and governed
Establish and enforce standards for data product quality, security, lineage, and metadata management
Collaborate directly with Data Product Owners and Domain Data Engineers to provide architectural guidance, ensuring their solutions align with the federated governance model and enterprise standards.
What you’ll need to succeed
You have experience in a Data Architecture or Solutions Architecture role, with demonstrated success in designing complex, distributed data systems
You have expert proficiency in conceptual/logical data modeling and experience defining interface schemas
You have a track record of building and operating cloud data platforms.
You have experience with various types of analytics, including business intelligence, machine learning, and GenAI.
You have very strong influencing abilities and a positive mindset.

How does your hiring process work?
1. First chat to see if we're a good fit for each other. We’ll focus on your intrinsic motivation, ambition, and how you see yourself fitting into our culture. 2. An optional career talk. We want to help you make the right career decision and give you a clear picture of what working with Dataminded is all about. 3. The technical Interview (role-dependent). The goal of this phase is to assess your technical and non-technical skills, as well as your communication, problem-solving, and software engineering abilities. You'll start with a chat, then you'll complete and present a practical technical exercise. 4. We make an official offer, answer any remaining questions and discuss the financials and contract details.
For what type of client will I work?
Large enterprises in regulated industries across Benelux. Some examples are Luminus, imec, VITO, Brussels Airport, Atlas Copco. The work involves sensitive data, distributed ownership across business units, and often regulatory constraints. We work across AWS, Azure and GCP with a wide range of technologies.
